~Peuta's character Eliel Midriana Kultatossu. H-he's a semi-parody character but he's sort of grown on me......

how do you always make mirror pictures look so balanced? I really like 'em, and they're always very interesting compositions... Which makes me wonder how you plan something like that? (Or do you even? XD)
I like the patterns you make in your painting, because they're not too obvious, but still really enhance the picture I think his hand is bend slightly too far to be comfortable? It's not really such a big thing, but because the flow in your picture really follows his arm and the ..pole sticking out of it, it kinda caught my eye. (Though as soon as I got to the pole and the thread keeping his robe up I was already so distracted and amused it didn't matter that much.) -- I'm sad too!! But I did my best, I used two heavy books to push on the lid on the sketchbook as it scanned, haha. The first try was even worse.
I have a new (better and bigger) scanner already, I'm just waiting for my friend to find the installation disc for me since she misplaced it somewhere B: Huhu thank you donellas ♥ Mmmm I don't usually plan to mirror my pictures.. I just hated how this one looked and then I remembered how some people mirror their works SO. I still hate this but it's not atleast that terrible to look at anymore, haha. (The pangolin-picture was a planned mirror though, it was supposed to be an entry for my meme where I coloured every picture differently but then decided against it. I think there's maybe a third mirrored picture in my gallery, that wasn't planned either B:)
You mean his left arm? I don't know, I tried bending it like that and it wasn't too uncomfortable? It's pretty un-natural probably but I did try making him look like he was showing off because he's the sort of character who poses while he walks, even. XD I think the third one's with lotsa bones and skulls and stuff in it...
But, strange, for some reason this does seem like it'd be less interesting without the mirror image. (Still, you need some luck every once in a while too XD) hmm, yes, I tried to as well, but my hand felt kinda painful? Then again, It probably depends on the person (in that 'can you curl up your tongue'-way or something similar), I can't even do the live long and prosper-sign so there's probably something weird going on in my arms then? But he does look rather offshowing, so all's well! -- Haha yeah at first I decided to save it for a sketchdump for later since I just randomly sketched this up with no intention of finishing it but after mirroring it, here we go..
Ah I don't want to make up any excuses though sob sob I felt so embarrased after my reply. I'll keep an eye for un-natural poses in the future but besides being a show-off, he's also physically fit so he'd probably bend in all sorts of ways. Ahhh. I don't usually try out the poses I do myself because I just draw all sorts of crazy crap and prefer an aesthethic aspect over a correct one.. (I don't want to give myself the excuse of "well it works so why not" because I don't want to relax about this sort of thing) |
